Definitions: LIFE - SKILL

Definitions

LIFE: the existence of an individual human being or animal. Origin: German Leib properly "continuance, perseverance," from leip- "to stick, adhere."

SKILL: the ability to do something well; expertise. Origin: from Old Norse skil ‘discernment, knowledge’.

If DISCERN is to perceive, to recognize, to distinguish, to separate a thing apart from another.

If DISCERNMENT is the ability to judge well.

We could say that a Life Skill could be: To have the knowledge to judge well and to persevere on something.
