Not able to just BE THERE - Communication Skills
I want to talk to you about communication skills, or lack of communication skills.
Have you ever met somebody who wasn't comfortable being in front of somebody else and they were not able to communicate well?
They are not just comfortable being in that position, in that space.
Maybe they have like: negative thoughts, or they are overthinking too much,or their mind is blank, they don't see anything they cannot think anything, or they have nervous motions, or playing tunes in their mind, or they try to be funny, or they're feeling anger, or they are afraid, or they are shy, they are timid. They're not just being there comfortably.
Well, that basically shows their communication skills are not very good.
Have you ever wondered why people get their minds stuck watching videos on the TV, on the internet, on their cell phone? Fortunately that's not everybody. Advanced technological gadgets like: TV, radio, Walkman's, iPods, cell phones, internet.
They don't worsen our communication. They only show who are having problems communicating. Who have low communication skills.
And they wish they could communicate to somebody. They can only watch, but there is no physical interaction.
And they wish somebody could hear them.
They wish somebody could give him an acknowledgment.
They wish they could touch a person they like.
And they wish they could be touched by that person in return.
The "Personal Touch" is missing.
They show lack of communication skills.
Unfortunately that affects their work performance as well. People with poor communication skills are not very competent.
They don't really know what others around them need and want.
I know this very well because I used to have very poor communication skills.
And I have experienced how others have improved their communication skills.
