Study Skills Bring About A Workable Judgment
People with Judgment versus People without it.
Have you ever met someone who didn’t make sense most of the time?
Or that their opinions or conclusions were not useful or helpful?
We could say their judgment is not helping them and not helping others.
False Information - Bad Advice
It makes sense or it doesn't.!?!
No one wants that! - There must be a better way.
5 Key points people should know about study:
1) What is meant by Judgment?
Definition: The ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions.
Judgment is the ability to come up with useful, helpful decisions and conclusions.
Origin: Latin judex, judic-, from jus ‘law’ + dicere ‘to say’.
Think of a Judge in a Contest or a Court of Trial. The judge can say or call the law, he is qualified to give an opinion that helps to decide results, to bring the best solution to a problem.
We can judge our lives, judge our production and services.
In this way we have judgment that will make sense, and bring workable conclusions.
2) What is illiteracy?
a. unable to read or write, but also
b. ignorance in a particular subject or activity.
3) What is a "Functional Illiterate"?
No having the necessary knowledge to cope with most jobs and many everyday situations.
4) What is “Hidden Illiteracy”?
It’s the same as “Functional illiteracy” but hidden.
This is when people don't know, that they don't know.
We are more victims of Hidden Illiteracy because the person unwillingly is pretending to know.
They know how to function, but they haven't mastered certain activities in their profession.
The quality of their production or services is not very competitive.
They don’t know how to solve all the problems in their profession to a high standard of living.
5) What is a Workable Judgment?
What is it like to live with a Workable Judgment? Or lack of?
Good judgment transforms into certainty, self-confidence, competence, satisfaction, and pleasure with high quality products and services.
Poor judgment transforms into lack of certainty, lack of self-confidence, a low competence level, dissatisfaction, not liking to study, failing, quitting and dropping out of school.
Three More Points:
6) Are you not a winning student?
This is a message for those students who want to improve their studies, their lives, and be more competent.
7) Do you want to be a successful student?
We certainly can turn those failing students into winning students.
8) That’s why the “Study Skills Workshop”
The Most Important Point:
